This section is devoted to the boring techy bits such as details of make and model of all equipment used. Links to manufacturer web sites are provided where possible.

Sky Digital - Pace decoder
Sky have gone for lots of channels, picture quality sometimes suffers (blocky) as a result.

Thomson TiVo
TiVo is excellent ! Never miss a programme on terrestrial or satellite. It even learns what you like and starts recording things that you would not even think about...
Integration with Sky Digital via Infra Red could be better.

KEF Ci reference 2000 left, centre and right front speakers
Difficult to say how they compare to anything else, other than that we like them very much.

KEF Ci 200 QT rear speakers
With a little jiggery-pokery, these speakers will go up in the ceiling when you don't need them and drop down when you do.

X10 bits and pieces
X10... need to do more in this area, here is what we have at the moment.

1x Lamp module (controls one light in the lounge)
1x Infra-ref to X10 converter (Pronto takes control of X10)
1x X10 Mains interface (Plug your computer into the network and start controlling your house...)
Buy all this from Let's automate.

Our home cinema is now complete... It has taken us a long time.

Take a look at the details on the left to see what we have achieved...
